Jean-Marie Putz

Colour: Old gold
The nose is a quite complex mix of smells of sherry, discrete hints of tobacco and ripe fruit flavours with a slight feeling of cocoa. The nose is extremely engaging in any case.
The first impression in the mouth is extremely pleasant. Sherry and cocoa subtly mixed with some discreet lightly woody touches. A superb texture. A good oily whisky and an extreme balance. Alcohol is undoubtedly present and perfectly fused with the rest. A marvel.
The final retains extremely pleasant impressions of the mouth for quite a long time. A slight but persistent sense of cigar box throughout the final.
This is very close to a perfect whisky.
