Je vous donne une petite idée ? Ce soir, je suis seul à la maison ! Ca va péter. Je prévois donc une petite session Laphroaig.
Starter tout simple sur le 10yo 40% histoire de vérifier que narines et papilles sont affutées.
Puis ouverture du 30yo OB (version +/- 2006), enchaînement sur le BBR, puis sur le Samaroli Duthie's 1970 avant le finish sur le 1974 for LMDW. J'en bave déjà !
Starter tout simple sur le 10yo 40% histoire de vérifier que narines et papilles sont affutées.

"Laphroaig 1964/1981 (43%, Berry Bros & Rudd, 75cl) Yes, baby! Colour: mahogany. Nose: this wonder is drier and much more phenolic than the 1975 at first nosing, with more peat smoke as well as some great mineral and even metallic notes (perfect OBE). Unfolds like a… err, hem, a Sevillan fan, with notes of roasted chestnuts, coffee beans, cigar smoke, tar, ashes, dry black raisins, leather, old style cough syrup, ‘fisherman’s net’, hints of Fernet-Branca and other bitter liqueurs, moss, shoe polish, soot… Give it time and it becomes a little fruitier, with unexpected notes of cranberries and other red berries. No need to tell you it’s a masterpiece. Mouth: sweeter and rounder than on the nose, a tad fatter, with some prunes and orange marmalade coating your mouth before the ‘phenolmenal’ cavalry arrives. It’s all more or less in the same vein as what we got in the nose, with maybe just a little more herbal, orangey and spicy notes. Gets finally very ashy and sooty, with this feeling of having just swallowed an ashtray – I’m sure you see what I mean. It’s quite amazing that this puppy didn’t lose any smokiness throughout the years in wood and then in glass – or it was the ultimate peat monster at time of filling. Finish: medium long, dry, sooty, ashy and tarry. Some verbena in the aftertaste that makes for a perky signature. Comments: did you notice that I tried hard not to display only pure maltoporn in these notes? This whisky is utterly exceptional, only its faint dryness in the finish will prevent it from going over 95. So... SGP:457 - 95 points (and heartfelt thanks, Régis)"

Ouaip, j'ai lu ça, et ça m'a rappelé cette chouette soirée chez ton pote, en janvier dernier... J'étais bien naze le lendemain (couché vers 3:30 et la centrale sécurité m'a réveillé une heure plus tard pour me signaler une intrusion... un collègue qui était rentré au bureau pour jouer en ligne à la bataille navale ou à je ne sais quoi... y'en a, j'vous jure !), mais c'était vraiment top.
C'était tellement bizarrement savoureusement tourbé, cette affaire là, que flairant le piège, j'avais suggéré un vieux Japonais inconnu... Toujours aussi bon dans ses prédictions, le Lévy...
Perso, j'aurais été moins dithyrambique que Serge. 95 ? Cet homme est fou ! 94+, disons
...

C'est la confirmation que Régis a bien le nez creux pour parvenir à dénicher de telles choses.
